MAIN GOAL
To go above and beyond to serve our guests by answering questions, offering clear information,
and assisting people in taking the best next steps.
Those who volunteer on our Information Center Team are vital to Christ the Redeemer.
The truth is, our priests have very hectic schedules they need to keep. Because of their busy schedules they often do not have the time to answer every question. Many times, people have good questions but rarely get the chance to actually ask them.
This is where our Information Center Team assists.
MAIN TASK
To be available to field questions and to put people in contact
with someone who can answer their questions.
Yes. It really is that simple.
On our Information Center Team, there's no pressure to have all the answers. If a volunteer does not know the answer to someone's question, that's perfectly fine. They simply take down the person's contact information and their question and hand it off to our Information Center Coordinator. Once the question has been answered, or Coordinator will give that person a call personally.
RESPONSIBILITIES
All teams who assist us in serving on Sundays have some simply responsibilities.
BE OPEN & AVAILABLE TO THE HOLY SPIRIT
Ultimately, we know that people have not come to Church for us. They are here because God has called them and because they desire to experience and encounter Him. So we ask our volunteers to remain open to the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
SMILE
You would be amazing at the what just a simply smile can do to someone's day. It can change their outlook, their perception.
It can make a lonely day seem not so lonely. There is power in a smile.
WELCOME GUESTS WITH JOY
We encourage all of our volunteers to be joyful. In The Joy of the Gospel, Pope Francis's first sentence is as follows: "The joy of the gospel fills the hearts and lives of all who encounter Jesus."
FIELD QUESTIONS
Again, there's no pressure to "have all the answers." Our Information Center Team simply allows themselves to be available so that others can ask their questions.
REMAIN UP-TO-DATE ON CTR
It is often easier for our volunteers to assist people when they are aware of important dates and events themselves. The best part is that our bulletin outlines all important information for you.
PRAY FOR OUR CONGREGATION
We can never under estimate the power of our prayer. All who volunteer at our Information Center are asked to offer up prayers especially for those joining us on Sunday.
