POSITION: Coordinator of Youth Formation

 

Youth formation is a diocesan and parish planning priority and perhaps one of the most important.   The Coordinator of Youth Formation administers and implements a total parish youth formation process that builds a solid foundation to support Christian living, ministry and outreach in teens.  

 

CYF Characteristics:

  • Personal call to Holiness:  The CYF is a living model witness of mature missionary discipleship.

  • Love for youth: The CYF has the potential to journey with young people in the basics of life and the spiritual life.

  • Enthusiastic about evangelizing: The CYF has the ability to integrate systematic key learning into a new vision of youth formation.

  • Forward thinker: The CYF embodies leadership skills necessary to pioneer change, cast vision, build “buy in” and recruit people.  

 

Our formation process is centered on maturing youth through the Formation Life Cycle.   The CYF’s role is essential in the execution of a mentoring, relational ministry driven format.

 

CYF Responsibilities include:

  • Implementation of the diocesan vision and initiatives for youth formation for students 1st through 12th grades

  • Volunteer Recruitment

  • Formation, training of and collaboration with the Adult Mentor Team

  • Provide support, formation and resources for parents

 

Experience in Youth Ministry and/or Religious Education preferred.

Full-Time - Benefit eligible.
